Frequency uses two types of roles that work together to control user access.
Before diving into roles, it’s important to understand that Frequency has two types of workspaces called tenants. Network tenants manage multiple shows and campaigns, while Show tenants focus on individual show production. Learn more about tenants →
Two Types of Roles
1. Tenant Roles = Where You Can Go
Determines what pages you can access and which shows you can see. Every user has exactly one: Admin, Regular User, Show Manager, or Network Producer.
2. Campaign Roles = What You Can Do (Per Campaign)
Determines what actions you can take on campaigns and vetting requests. This only exists in network tenants. Show tenants do not have campaign roles.
How They Combine
- Admin (tenant) + Ad Ops (campaign) = Full access + can submit vetting to shows
- Regular User (tenant) + Ad Sales (campaign) = Limited access + can create campaigns
